Professor Stanisław Tadeusz Janeczko – graduated summa cum laude from the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw (the winner of the Smoluchowski Award for the most gifted students); in 1997 received the title of full professor. In his long and splendid scientific career Professor Stanisław Janeczko was: Dean of the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics (WUT), Head of the Department of Analysis and Singularity Theory at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science (WUT), Director of the Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Director of Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center.
Professor Janeczko is the author of over 80 scientific articles published in international scientific journals. His scientific achievements are discerned in the fields of singularity theory, geometry, differential topology, symplectic geometry and mathematical physics.
Professor Janeczko is the laureate of numerous awards and distinctions, for example, the Minister of Science’s Award, the Order of the Rebirth of Poland and many others.
