The award ceremony was enriched by a lecture lecture titled „Reflections on mathematics and philosophy” delivered by Prof. Maurin.
Undoubtedly, Professor Krzysztof Maurin's entire life achievement makes him a Master, but the most valuable confirmation of the suitability of Professor Krzysztof Maurin's nomination for this distinction seems to be the words of John Paul II (16-19 August 1980, Castel Gandolfo), reminded by Director Professor Stanisław Janeczko: "When Professor Maurin talked about the beauty of mathematics one could have thought that transcendentalia: verum, bonum et pulchrum - characterize human activity, no matter what specialization is chosen".
Professor Krzysztof Maurin also received a commemorative statuette - a crystal dodecahedron with melted outlines of the Plato Academy.
