Was awarded the Young Scientist Medal in 2007 for constructing an optical tomograph for researching retina, and for his contribution to ophthalmological research development.
Dr. Wojtkowski’s research achievements enabled the construction of clinical device for a 3D observation of retina and the anterior chamber of the eye with a high axial resolution of 3 micrometers. The prototype has been used in the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Collegium Medicum in Bydgoszcz.
