Inaugural meeting for ID students, 24.10.2022

On October 24, 2022, the first meeting of ID program students with representatives of the university authorities and members of the Program Council took place in room 123 in the Main Building of the Warsaw University of Technology.

Fourteen students who are finalists and laureates of the Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Astronomy and Chemistry Olympiads are taking part in the first edition of ID studies. Six participants in the ID program chose to study at the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology, four at the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, three at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering and one at the Faculty of Chemistry. The students were ceremonially welcomed by the head of ID studies Adam Styk, Ph.D., chairman of the Program Council Prof. Stanislaw Janeczko and the Rector of WUT Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba, who encouraged the young students to follow their own passion, and then, as Confucius claimed, they will not work a single day in their lives. Tutors, selected from among the academic staff of the Warsaw University of Technology, are to help students achieve this goal. Adam Styk introduced the students to the goals and upcoming plans of the ID program. The program is funded by the "Excellence Initiative - Research University" project implemented at the Warsaw University of Technology and carried out at the Center for Advanced Studies at the Warsaw University of Technology.
