Colloquium Lecture - "Challenges in Earth Observation - DLR perspective"

Professor Hansjörg Dittus from German Aerospace Center will give a lecture „Challenges in Earth Observation - DLR perspective" on 19th of April 2017 at 4.15 p.m., lecture hall No.134, in Main Building WUT.

Since 2008 Professor Hansjörg Dittus has been Director of the DLR Institute of Space Systems in Bremen. Hansjörg Dittus is a renowned and recognised expert in the fields of gravitation and fundamental physics and their related technological developments.

In 1987 Professor  moved to the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (Zentrum für angewandte Raumfahrttechnologie und Mikrogravitation; ZARM) at the University of Bremen. There, he first took over the management of the ‘Drop Tower Bremen’ project, where he was responsible for the construction of the large microgravity laboratories that entered service in 1991. Dittus then headed the Department of Gravitational and Fundamental Physics at ZARM and three years later was appointed Head of Space Technology and Fundamental Physics. In 2006, Hansjörg Dittus was appointed Professor in the Faculty of Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering at the University of Bremen.
