Professor Issac Abrahams, a recognized scientist specializing in ionics and solid state chemistry.
He is a lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and a member of Royal Society of Chemistry - the biggest European organization dealing with advanced chemical research.
He is an author of more than 140 papers in scientific journals. Professorā€™s Abrahams most significant achievement concerns defining crystalline structure and its damaging by X-ray and neutron diffraction.
Professor will give 2 series of lectures on:
1) Crystallography and Diffraction Theory and Modern Methods of Analysis
2) Ionic conductors: Characterization of Defect Structure.
Moreover, professor Abrahams will supervise specialist scientific workshops for Msc and PhD students as well as young academic staff, on drawing out and analyzing the results of structural research which will enable a preparation of a publication concerning jointly-conducted tests with using X-ray and neutron diffraction.
Professor Abrahams will visit Warsaw University of Technology from January to April, 2011, and will be hosted by Professors: JĆ³Å¼ef Dygas and StanisÅ‚aw Janeczko.
