Master of the Center for Advanced Studies – CAS grants a new title
The Center’s distinction, with the motto Laus tibi, non tuleris qui vincula mente animoque (Praised be the one who has not imprisoned the power of mind and spirit) was established by the CAS Advisory Council on 26 May 2014.
It is meant to be awarded for a laureate’s special contribution to academic society, for his/her being successful in expanding research areas as well as for crossing the boundaries of cognition. The Council takes into account the laureate’s individual qualities – personality, independence, modesty, dedication, creativity, humility, education and charisma. The statuette is a crystal regular dodecahedron which is to symbolize the Master’s unblemished personality. It is only the Master whose mind is free from the pursuit of material goods. The Master knows how to fill the void and where the harmony can be found. The Master is fully aware of where he/she came from and where he/she is heading for.
