Forum of understanding on Nanomaterials and Their interdisciplinary applications
Between 3th and 5th of June 2016 in Windsor Hotel in Jachranka the "Forum of understanding on Nanomaterials and Their interdisciplinary applications" has taken place, under the guidance of the Scientific Organizing Committee composed of: prof. Michael Giersig from the Department of Physics at the Freie University in Berlin, prof. Stanislaw Janeczko - Director of the Center for Advanced Studies and Professor Małgorzata Lewandowska from the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering WUT.
Forum was opened by discussion on the prospects for the development and future of the nanotechnology. The conversation was conducted by prof. Michael Giersig, prof. Bartosz Grzybowski and prof. Kris Kemp. In the following days there were numerous lectures, accompanied by a poster session with the participation of PhDs and doctors of Warsaw University of Technology, the University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. The winners of the distinction for the best poster were: Joanna Lipecka of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering WUT, Tomasz Szymański from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and Rafał Mirek from the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. Lectures on nanomaterials and their applications in the perspective of different research directions, including theoretical physics, chemistry, mathematics and biomedicine, were presented by experts from various fields: Prof. Bartosz Grzybowski, Prof. Leszek Gradoń, Prof. Kris Kempa, Prof. Maciej Wiznerowicz, Prof. Witold Łojkowski, Prof. Józef Spałka, Dr. Lech Giersig, Dr. Leszek Stobiński, Dr. Jacek Szczytko, Prof. Andrzej M. Kłonkowski, Phd Eng. Tymoteusz Ciuk.
