WUT Honorary Professor Jerzy Rużyłło

On 2 July 2024, the Center for Advanced Studies orginized the ceremony to award the status of Honorary Professor of the Warsaw University of Technology to Professor Jerzy Rużyłło.

Jerzy Rużyłło (born 27 June 1947) - Prof. dr hab. inż. electronics engineer, graduate and former research and teaching staff member of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology at the Warsaw University of Technology, since 1984 he has been working at the Pennsylvania State University in the United States, currently as Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, expert in the field of micro and nanotechnology of semiconductor materials and devices, leads the Semiconductor SurfaceProcessing and Characterization Laboratory at the Pennsylvania State University; creator and author of the semiconductor portal semi1source.com; honorary member (Fellow) of the IEEE and the Electrochemical Society, where he holds a number of leadership positions.
He comes from a family of distinguished physician-scientists: father, Prof. Edward Rużyłło (1909-2009), gastrologist; brother, Prof. Witold Rużyłło (1939), cardiologist.
