On 14th of November 2017 the visiting professor Keizo Yamaguchi from Hokkaido University in Japan was a guest of the Center for Advanced Studies at the invitation of Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.

The second event of the "Meetings of Open Minds" series titled "Open mind of science XIX and XX century", organized in the headquarters of CAS, was dedicated to Marian Smoluchowski, a brilliant Polish physicist, on the occasion of the celebration of his 100th anniversary of death.

Professor Bogdan Cichocki from the Institute of Theoretical Physics at University of Warsaw will give a lecture  “About Marian Smoluchowski on the 100th anniversary of his death" on 26^th of October 2017.

The Center for Advanced Studies has launched the CAS Advanced Studies Offer for the incoming autumn semester 2017/2018.
