Professor Jonathan D.H. Smith is a distinguished specialist in algebra and combinatorics, including the general theory of commutators, the representation theory of quasigroups, the theory of idempotent and entropic algebras (modes), the theory of complex systems, and applications of algebra and combinatorics in physics, computer science and biomathematics.
Professor Smith is the author or co-author of 7 monographs, joint editor of several special volumes, and the author of some 150 articles published in leading scientific journals.
Professor Smith will visit Warsaw University of Technology in the second half of November and the first half of December 2012, hosted by Prof. Anna Romanowska and Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.
