Professor Colin Sheppard
Profesor Colin Sheppard - eminent specialist whose scientific interests focus on microscopy and tomography of micro objects, diffraction and beam propagation, superresolution and many other fields of photonics and biophotonics.
Professor Sheppard is currently employed at the Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa (Italy) as a senior research scientist. He is the author of over 400 publications and numerous patents. He received many awards and honours and is a member of several world-renowned scientific institutions.
As a part of the visit at the Warsaw University of Technology, scheduled for May/June 2013, Professor Sheppard will give lectures on confocal and 2-photon microscopy as well as on amplitude and phase reconstruction of objects.
Professor Sheppard will be hosted by Professor Małgorzata Kujawińska and Professor Stanisław Janeczko.
