At present, Lambert is a professor at the University of Namur, where he is a co-director of a research team in Cosmology; moreover, he collaborates with University of Luxemburg and Academy of Louvain (within an intercollegiate course on ‘Science and Christian Faith’).Professor Lambert is a recognized specialist in mathematical physics and philosophy of science. In his scope of interests there are issues on correlation between the worlds of science and theology, cosmology, biology, and history of cosmology. Professor is well-known for his innovative approach to scientific research which he sees in a broader context by introducing to it theological, historical and philosophical elements. Professor Lambert is an author or a co-author of 8 books and more than 130 papers. In 1999, he was awarded the Prize of the “Mgr Georges Lemaître Foundation” and in 2000, the Prize of the European Society for the Study of Sciences and Theology (ESSSAT). Dominique Lambert is a member of Belgium Royal Academy , the International Academy of Philosophy of Science (“Académie Internationale de Philosophie des Sciences) and the Distinguished Programme Development Committee of the STOQ project.
Prof. Lambert will be a guest of the Warsaw University of Technology in October and December 2011. The guest will be hosted by Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.
