Professor Wojciech Knap - eminent physicist, affiliated with the University of Montpellier 2 and the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), where he holds a position of the 1st class director.
He graduated from the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. Prof. Knap’s research activity is focused on semiconductors. He is an author/co-author of more than 100 publications (the Hirsh factor > 30 ). He has also a few patents.
Professor Knap will be a guest of the Warsaw University of Technology from January to June 2014. As a part of his visit, Professor will give a series of lectures on physics, the optics of waves of THz frequencies and fundamental prosperities of quantum semiconductor structures.
The guest will be hosted by Prof. Maciej Sypek and Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.
