Professor Walid Ben-Ameur, Telecom Sudparis, France - is a world renowned expert in discrete mathematics and optimization appliances, particularly in designing telecommunication networks.
Professor Walid Ben-Ameur graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications - Paris, France and Université Pierre et Marie Curie, France (1996). In 2000 he obtained a PhD in computer science from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications and in May 2007 a postdoctoral degree at Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris. In 2001 - 2007 he worked as an assistant professor Institut National des Telecommunications, France, a od 2007 jest profesorem zwyczajnym w the Institut TELECOM, TELECOM&Management SudParis, France.
Professor Walid Ben-Ameur is a laureate of the first Roberta Faure prize (2006), and a Glover-Klingman prize (2008). He is an autor or co-author of approximately 50 articles, papers and conference speeches, as well as 4 books.
During his stay at the Warsaw University of Technology, he will have 8 seminars, during which he will give a series of 8 lectures. He will also participate in a number of discussions.
Professor Walid Ben-Ameur will be hosted at the Warsaw University of Technology by Professor Jan Szmidt, Professor Irmina Herbut and Professor Stanisław Janeczko in May and June 2010.
