Professor Meir Shillor
Visit at WUT: May 2014
Professor Meir Shillor – renowned mathematician in variation inequalities and contact problems, biomathematics and mathematical modeling and analysis of industrial problems; affiliated with Oakland University (USA).
For many years Prof. Shillor has developed cooperation with the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering, WUT, by taking part in numerous research projects. He is the author of two monographs and 170 publications in scientific journals. He was also a visiting scholar at: Federation University of Ballarat (Australia), University of Perpignan (France), University of Santiago (Spain).
Professor Shillor’s visit at Warsaw University of Technology is scheduled for May 2014 and as its part two seminars will be held: Mathematical Models for Contact Processes and The Mathematics of Change.
The visit will be supervised by Prof. Stanisław Janeczko and Prof. Jerzy Bajkowski
