Professor J. Hyam Rubinstein

Professor J. Hyam Rubinstein – distinguished mathematician specialising in low-dimensional topology. Affiliated with the University of Melbourne (Australia).
He is the author of over 100 publications and a recipient of numerous awards, i.a.: Hannan Medal of the Australian Academy of Sciences, Research Medal of the Australian Mathematical Society, the George Szekeres Medal. Since 2005 a Chair of National Committee for Mathematical Sciences. He was a visiting scholar at: UC Davis (USA), Technion (Israel), University of Paris VI/VII (France), Stanford University (USA), UC San Diego (USA), Oklahoma State University (USA).
Professor Rubinstein will be a guest of Warsaw University of Technology in May 2014 and his visit will be supervised by Professor Stanisław Janeczko.
