Professor Ilan Riess
Visit at WUT: May 2014
Professor Ilan Riess – renowned specialist in theoretical solid state physics, in particular solid state ionics, and statistical physics; affiliated with Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (Israel).
Professor Riess’s most remarkable achievements are related to experimental and theoretical work on transport in solid ionic and ionic-electronic conductors. Professor Riess is the author of over 150 scientific publications including 3 monographs as well as the author of three patented inventions.
Professor Riess will visit Warsaw University of Technology in May 2014 and will give a series of lectures on Transport of matter and charge in solids and a Seminar of the Faculty of Physics titled Devices based on mixed-ionic-electronic-conductors as possible memory devices.
The visit will be supervised by Prof. Józef Dygas and Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.
